Sailing Trips in France
Sailing the authentic Côte d’Azur
Sailing in France is a dream come true and the Côte d’Azur, or French Riviera, offers one of the most breathtaking sailing experiences in the Mediterranean. As we glide along the dazzling coastline, the sea reflects countless shades of blue. The air is fresh, the sky wide open, and for a moment, we simply breathe it all in.
Many associate the French Riviera with glamour, St. Tropez, Cannes, Nice, and while these cities have their charm, our sailing route leads us far from the glitz and crowds. We explore the western Côte d’Azur, where traditional fishing villages nestle between rocky cliffs, and the pace of life slows to the rhythm of the sea.
Each day brings a new discovery: a morning hike through fragrant pine forests and lavender fields in a national park, an afternoon swim in a hidden bay, or a sunset picnic on a quiet island. We dock in peaceful harbors, sip coffee with fresh croissants at local cafés, and shop for baguettes in coastal markets. This is the joie de vivre, the simple beauty of everyday life in southern France.
Our sailing holiday in France is defined by authenticity and serenity. Far from busy cities, we anchor in secluded coves and untouched beaches, relax in hammocks on deck, and fall asleep under the stars with the gentle sounds of the sea.
If you’re looking for a truly unique and peaceful sailing trip in the Mediterranean, the Côte d’Azur offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and French flair. Experience the Riviera differently, away from the crowds, and closer to what really matters.

Our France Trips
Plant-based in France
Provençal markets, herbes de Provence and food that does not need to try very hard
Provence is one of the most naturally plant-based food cultures in Europe, even if it does not always advertise itself that way. The markets are full of courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes, peppers and herbs that smell the way herbs are supposed to smell. Olive oil flows freely. The produce is exceptional.
On board along the French coast that means ratatouille made the slow way, tapenade on fresh bread, socca straight from the pan, roasted Provençal vegetables and whatever the morning marché had that looked best. Every meal is 100% plant-based and prepared together by the crew and guests. France makes it feel effortless.

FAQ Sailing in France
Which parts of France do you sail?
What are the Calanques?
The Calanques are a series of narrow, steep-sided inlets carved into white limestone cliffs along the coast between Marseille and Cassis. The water inside them is extraordinarily clear and the cliffs drop almost vertically into the sea. Sailing into a calanque on a small boat is one of those experiences that is very hard to describe and very easy to remember. They are one of the reasons France is one of our favourite sailing destinations.
