Volunteer Social Media & Tourguide (F/M/D)

Pirates of Paradise is a sailing company that offers adventure and unforgettable experiences on our sailing trips, for young people.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated volunteer (F/M/D) with a passion for social media, primarily Instagram (TikTok skills or knowledge are a plus). In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help build our online presence and establish our brand on social media. Video production skills are a plus, as you’ll be creating engaging and creative content while sailing along Europe’s coasts. Alongside capturing the best moments, you’ll also guide our guests at each destination, show them cool spots, and provide ideas on what they can explore.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate groups on-site
- Manage WhatsApp communication with tour groups
- Create creative videos and engaging content
- Maintain and manage our social media profiles
- Collaborate with our marketing team to implement new ideas and strategies
Requirements
- Studies in online marketing or a related field are a plus
- Passion for social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram
- Creative mindset with a flair for storytelling
- Ability to shoot and edit videos
- Strong communication and team player skills
- Excellent self-organization and high motivation
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media and online marketing trends
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to pitch in and help out on the sailing boat
- Enthusiastic about adventure and eager to spend the summer sailing through Europe with us (or at least part of it)

Volunteer Chef (F/M/D)

Role Overview
We’re looking for a chef to join our team on board. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the guests to maintain the kitchen and supplies, while preparing delicious meals together.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the kitchen and supplies
- Cook with the guests (not just for them)
- Plan meals and motivate the crew to start preparing on time
- Source ingredients from local markets and small grocery stores, with support from the crew
- Follow our vegan kitchen philosophy
- Prepare fresh hummus, oat milk, and other plant-based dishes
- Bake and make food from scratch
Requirements
- Passion for cooking and working with food
- No professional chef training required, but cooking experience is a plus
- Interest in plant-based cooking and the lifestyle
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage tasks in a busy environment

Skipper (F/M/D)

Role Overview
We’re looking for experienced skippers (min. SKS or RYA) to join our trips. You’ll be in charge of sailing the boat, ensuring safety, and guiding our guests on their adventure. Your role will also involve helping to create an unforgettable experience on the water, while leading the crew.
Responsibilities
- Skipper the boat during our Trips
- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and crew
- Lead the sailing team and manage daily tasks on board
- Create an engaging, fun, and safe atmosphere for our guests
- Help with the logistics and coordination of each trip
Requirements
- Minimum SKS or RYA qualification
- Several years of experience in sailing
- Passion for sailing and guiding people through new adventures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle all aspects of sailing a boat, from navigation to guest care
- Team player who thrives in an open and dynamic environment

Are you an influencer (min. 20k IG / 10k TT / 5k YT) or a photographer (reach-independent) who loves adventure and wants to join one of our trips? We offer you the opportunity to join us for free, covering your trip cost (excluding flights).
Responsibilities
- Join our Trips and create engaging content for your social media platforms
- Capture stunning photos and videos to showcase the adventure on board
- Share your experiences with your followers, helping to promote our brand
- Engage with the crew and guests to authentically document the journey
- Coordinate with our marketing team to align with brand goals and create exciting content
Requirements
- Minimum 20k followers on Instagram / 10k on TikTok / 5k on YouTube (for influencers)
- For photographers: Reach-independent, with a passion for capturing moments
- Strong skills in content creation, photography, and a focus on videography
- A great understanding of social media platforms and engagement
- A creative mindset with a flair for storytelling
