Sailing Trips in Croatia

A Journey Through Adriatic Beauty

There’s something truly special about sailing in Croatia. Beneath the shade of our sails, we bask in the golden summer sun as we glide across the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic. The coastline stretches endlessly, lined with sandy beaches, lush green landscapes, and hidden coves that invite us to drop anchor and dive in. In turquoise bays, we snorkel, swim, and unwind, all while the sun dips low, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink.

Our journey takes us to iconic destinations like Dubrovnik, where medieval city walls rise above the sea. Whether you’re a Game of Thrones fan or not, the old town’s maze of narrow alleys, historic charm, and local eateries is undeniably captivating. Grab a warm Burek from a street vendor, browse quaint souvenir shops, or relax with a cool drink in one of the many inviting cafés.

What makes Croatia truly remarkable is its variety. Beyond the idyllic islands and beaches, ancient towns are nestled in fjord-like inlets, each with its own story to tell. From coastal strolls and cultural discoveries to hikes through stunning inland scenery, the blend of sea and land offers a sailing experience that’s both relaxing and full of adventure.

Croatia is more than just a sailing destination, it’s a diverse and dynamic journey along one of Europe’s most enchanting coastlines.

  • Many nationalparks
Croatia's UNESCO national parks are indescribably beautiful and, at 40 € per person, almost unaffordable. But don't worry, they are included with Pirates.

Plant-based in Croatia

Sun, olive oil and the Dalmatian coast on your plate

Croatian markets are full of things that taste the way vegetables are supposed to taste. Ripe tomatoes, aubergines, peppers and courgettes grown close to the sea, picked up fresh before we set sail. Croatian olive oil finds its way into almost everything.

On board along the Dalmatian coast that means slow-roasted vegetables, bean stews, fresh herbs from the islands and mezze-style spreads that keep everyone at the table longer than planned. Every meal is 100% plant-based and prepared together by the crew and guests. Croatia makes it hard to eat badly.

FAQ Sailing in Croatia

What is the Adriatic Sea like for sailing?

The Adriatic is sheltered, clear and full of natural anchorages. It is one of the most forgiving sailing seas in Europe, with calm bays to swim in during the day and reliable winds for sailing between islands. The water is the kind of blue that makes it hard to stay on deck.
We sail the Dalmatian coast, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Europe. The route takes us between historic port towns and quiet islands that most tourists never reach. Exact stops always depend on wind and weather, which is part of what makes each Trip different.
Dolphins are a regular presence in the Adriatic and often follow the boat for stretches at a time. You might also spot loggerhead sea turtles in calmer bays and a wide variety of seabirds along the coast. The further you get from the busy tourist routes, the more wildlife you tend to see.
None at all. Our skippers take care of everything on board. You are welcome to help with the sailing if you want to learn, but you can also just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
Yes, and most of our guests do. You will be part of a small group of 8 to 10 open-minded travellers. By day two, strangers have usually become crew.
Seven nights on board, all plant-based meals prepared fresh each day, a professional skipper, and all port and marina fees. Flights and travel to the departure port are not included.
