Running Special

Get ready to hit the ground with our Running Trip on Corfu! For the first time, we’re testing out this active Trip, where we’ll combine daily running sessions with the island’s breathtaking scenery. We’re aiming to finish a half marathon (21 km) over the course of the week, but we’re open to adjusting the distance based on the group’s energy and motivation.

Tanja, our experienced running coach, will be guiding the sessions with warm-ups, training drills, and plenty of motivation. Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned runner, there’ll be something for everyone. We might even throw in some extra runs if the group’s game!

If this first pilot Trip turns out well, we’d love to make it a regular part of our future Trips!

Tanja is an experienced trail runner, working with The North Face and regularly competing in trail running events. She trains daily, focusing on mountain running and proper nutrition for sports. Tanja will guide us through each session, ensuring we warm up properly and have effective training sessions, so everyone has a successful and enjoyable Trip.

Also if wanted we could join in more adventures hiking trips. In the night we could sleep on the deck right under the stars. The route was very beautiful and was easily adapted if the weather changed. We also had special showers initiated by the Skipper. He showed us how to reduce our water usage. Thus we also learned to appreciate water and in general the hole trip was very eco friendly. Also the Skipper is a very nice and comforting person.

Definitely one of the best weeks of my life with the Pirates in Sicily! The crew and other travelers made it feel like being among friends rather than a tour group, which made the trip really special. I loved the slow mornings and flexible schedule with a great balance between sailing time, group activities, and free time on land to recharge. You can also get as involved with sailing as you want and learn a thing or two about how the boat works. And the food on board is amazing too! Along with Yenzi, other Pirates crew members were on board who made sure that cooking, washing up, and cleaning up went smoothly. I've never experienced anything like that before. Simply outstanding! The pre-planned meals were always delicious and imaginative and even catered to me, a non-vegan. The boat has several upgrades and offers so many amenities that charter boats can't offer! Because the crew lives on the boat permanently, it's much more homely and lovingly furnished. I find little mementos of past trips everywhere in the boat, which quickly makes you feel at home. Overall, Pirates of Paradise simply puts more attention to detail, and in this respect, Yenzi and his crew are way ahead of larger providers. Definitely a reason for me to come back.
