This was my first sailing week and I was particularly attracted by the vibe that they are trying to create. This is not a big corporate company. They own their own two boats and you really feel at home. That can come with a little chaos. But if you are prepared to just go with the flow and understand life at sea doesn't always go to plan, you'll find a wonderful safe space to disconnect. I'll be coming back.

An Unforgettable Week in Paradise 🌊☀️ I joined the Pirates of Paradise Albania–Montenegro trip as a solo traveler, and from the very first moments, I never once felt alone. The people are simply amazing. You arrive as strangers and somehow, within days, you create bonds that feel like lifelong friendships, with people you probably would never have met or connected with in everyday life. There is something truly special about that. The atmosphere is so welcoming, warm and homely. Yenzi and the entire team are absolutely incredible, and the whole experience genuinely feels like paradise. I came on this trip with very high expectations, but somehow the experience exceeded every single one of them. I loved it so much that after my August trip, I’m already hoping to come back again this season for the Sail & Learn trip in October/November! To sum it up: an unforgettable experience, unforgettable people, and an absolute dream for solo travelers. Thank you all for this incredible week. I will be forever grateful for the memories, the laughter, the adventures and, most of all, the wonderful people I met along the way. Love, Ewa ❤️

The trip was well thought out, with the option to opt in or out of any hikes and activities. The crew on board were super welcoming and made me feel very comfortable and extremely well taken care of throughout the trip. The boat was also well equipped with anything you could ever need, and the food was amazing! It was a beautiful experience full of amazing views, great connections and a perfect balance of relaxation and activity. Honestly I can’t recommend them enough. Will definitely be booking another trip with pirates of paradise 🫶🏼

Everyone is welcome, and nobody feels left out. They truly care about sustainability and zero waste, and everything is completely vegan and feminist. Especially as a woman, I felt very comfortable and safe on the boats. Our skipper Maurice was incredibly relaxed and taught us how to sail, which was such an exciting and rewarding experience. Meals on board are taken care of, and the volunteers, with the support of the guests, prepare delicious, balanced vegan meals. The boat is very well equipped and has a cozy atmosphere. I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire week. A huge thank you to the crew and to Yenzi for making this experience so special. The only very small downside was that sometimes it felt like nobody was entirely sure what the plan was, and things could get a little chaotic at times. Also, the advertised cozy pizza night, which was supposed to be included in the trip, ended up being a dinner at a rather unrelaxed restaurant, which was a little disappointing. Nevertheless, the week was absolutely worth it, and I am grateful that I got to be part of this crew. I will definitely sail with Pirates of Paradise again!

I can‘t put it in words how grateful I am for this experience! But I‘ll give it a try: The crew and everyone, who were with me on this boat, are so lovely, warm-hearted and kind people, which made me feel very seen and understood since the first second. I learned a lot in this week about myself, about sailing, about loving and appreciating nature and especially about delicious vegan food and its advantages - never eat vegan before and I was so excited to try it out! Big shoutout to every single person, who made the trip unforgettable. We swam every day in the ocean, enjoyed every meal as a community and even connected the two boats together, when it was possible, so we were a bunch of people who jammed with the guitar or just chatting and stargazed. I can tell, this vacation has a special place in my heart and it was one of a kind. Highly recommend it!

If you’re looking for a unique way to discover Sicily, or other destinations, I can’t recommend this enough. Sailing lets you experience places from a completely different perspective, visiting beautiful bays and hidden spots you simply wouldn’t see on a typical holiday. What makes Pirates of Paradise truly special is their philosophy. They’re a vegan sailing company with delicious plant-based breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that are prepared with so much love. Every meal was fresh, varied, and incredibly tasty. Even if you’re not vegan, the food is inspiring without ever feeling pushy. On restaurant visits, everyone is free to order whatever they like, which I really appreciated. The company is also committed to being as sustainable as possible. They are plastic-free wherever they can be, and they even provide ocean-friendly shampoo, sunscreen, toothpaste, making it easy to travel more sustainably without having to think about packing everything yourself. Another thing I loved was how inclusive the atmosphere is. Pirates of Paradise is genuinely queer-friendly, and English is the onboard language, which means everyone feels included no matter where they’re from. The crew goes above and beyond to make every guest feel at home, whether you’re travelling solo or with friends. I never felt like an outsider—I felt like part of the crew. I came on board as someone who had never sailed before, and I left with a new passion. This is so much more than just a sailing trip or a holiday. It’s an experience filled with amazing people, unforgettable sunsets, beautiful anchorages, incredible food, laughter, and memories I’ll keep for a long time. If you’re thinking about booking a sailing holiday in Sicily, Sardinia, or anywhere Pirates of Paradise sails, stop thinking and just do it. It was very well organized, and we had the opportunity to visit and explore so many beautiful places. The itinerary was excellent and offered a perfect balance of sailing and sightseeing. A special thanks to the crew, who were incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout the trip. They created a relaxed atmosphere and were always willing to assist, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only aspects that could be improved were the limited electricity on board, which was due to not docking in marinas the whole week, and the food supplies. Most of the products (around 90%) came from Lidl rather than local producers. Since sailing is such a great way to experience the local culture, it would have been much nicer to have more fresh, locally sourced products on board, and support the local producers than the international companies.

It really was a perfect perfect perfect experience! The vegan food was completely new for me, and it was incredibly delicious and surprisingly diverse. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and always something to look forward to. Help is always welcomed and it was always such a fun time. One thing I really appreciated was that we always tried to stay away from crowded places. We got to experience beautiful spots without feeling overwhelmed by tourism, which made the whole trip feel much more authentic and relaxing. I’ve never felt so welcome in a group before. It truly felt like a safe space where everyone was positive, open-minded, and supportive. I learned so much about myself and the people around me. I never thought it was possible to feel this loved, accepted, and free from judgment after only one week. The connections I made during this trip are something I’ll carry with me for a very long time. The crew was absolutely amazing!! So kind, approachable, and always there if you needed anything. No matter the question or concern, you could always come to them. The slow mornings were perfect. You could go swimming before breakfast, do a yoga session, read a book, enjoy the view, or simply sleep in. There was no pressure just time to enjoy yourself. And if you’re interested in sailing, there’s plenty of opportunity to learn and get involved. The crew is happy to teach, and you can actively help with sailing the boat. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for adventure, relaxation, meaningful connections, and an unforgettable experience. 🤍 Thanks to every single guest and crew from 2026 4th week in sardinia!! 🫶🏼

The absolute best sailing crew I have ever seen! The team is incredibly friendly and experienced in sailing and the boats are better equipped then any other boat I have seen – fresh filtered water, dishwashers, starlink WIFI and so on. We spent a week with Pirates on a sailing trip in Mallorca as part of an educational leave program. It was my first time on a sailboat, so I didn’t really know what to expect. :D The boat was very well equipped, with cozy cabins and plenty of spots to relax (and even plenty of space for individual and group work as part of our educational program). We got delicious food three times a day — including a pizza night with a high-end pizza oven while enjoying the sunset. There was 24/7 access to snacks, fruit, coffee and tea — basically no chance for tired or hangry brains onboard. Everything being fully vegan, they were also really thoughtful about my slightly picky eater preferences (haha), which I really appreciated. 🫶🏽 And we actually sailed. The crew really gave their all to make the experience unforgettable for everyone. They even sacrificed a full night of sleep to sail us from Cabrera to the north of Mallorca so we could wake up in crystal clear turquoise water and spend the next days learning and swimming in beautiful bays. Even when the sea and weather conditions got a bit rough at times, we always felt completely safe and well taken care of. One of my highlights was seeing a completely different side of Mallorca — pure nature, hidden bays and places you would probably never get to experience from land (we even saw dolphins). The whole crew was professional, welcoming and just created a nice atmosphere throughout the trip. There’s clearly a lot of effort, experience and heart behind the whole Pirates concept. It was a unique mix of adventure, learning new things and meeting new people which I’d recommend to anyone. Huge thanks to Yenzi, Mara and the whole crew 🤍⛵

We did a transfer from Sardinia to Mallorca, and it was my first time solo travelling on a sailing ship with complete strangers, but pirates of paradise made me feel right at home, facilitating an environment of trust, safety and familiarity we all got to enjoy. We were a group of just 10 people with different levels of experience in sailing (from none to fully skipper trained) and during the week of sail and learn we also had time to take it easy and make the most out of the days and the weather. The nature is truly spectacular, grand volcanoes and crystal clear waters to start everyday with a swim, an absolute dream! Definitely one of the best weeks of my life with the Pirates in Sicily! The crew and other travelers made it feel like being among friends rather than a tour group, which made the trip really special. Sicily tour was the best decision ever. Had a blast. As a solo traveller I met many lovely people aboard. Nice balance between sailing time and activities. Nice spots for sleepovers. And the team really knows what they‘re doing, incredibly skilled skippers and chefs. A little helping e.g. for cooking is required. Me and my friends had the best time with Pirates of Paradise on Croatia 4! The food on board couldn’t have been better! Especially the pizza night was one of the highlights for sure! Also, the crew took us to a lost place for sunset which was incredibly beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for better vibes on the boat. Yenzi does a great job as skipper and, despite the sailing and organizational stress, always has an open ear and time for conversation. Along with Yenzi, other Pirates crew members were on board who made sure that cooking, washing up, and cleaning up went smoothly. I've never experienced anything like that before. Simply outstanding! The pre-planned meals were always delicious and imaginative and even catered to me, a non-vegan. The boat has several upgrades and offers so many amenities that charter boats can't offer! Because the crew lives on the boat permanently, it's much more homely and lovingly furnished. I find little mementos of past trips everywhere in the boat, which quickly makes you feel at home. Overall, Pirates of Paradise simply puts more attention to detail, and in this respect, Yenzi and his crew are way ahead of larger providers. Definitely a reason for me to come back.

A Dream Sailing Trip with Pirates of Paradise I did a sailing trip with Pirates of Paradise to Corfu this year and it honestly exceeded every expectation I had. I first came across them a few years ago and never thought I’d actually end up on one of their trips, but I’m so glad I did. It was a proper dream come true. For seven days, I completely forgot about the rest of the world. I’m not particularly knowledgeable about sailing, but I loved learning the basics and getting a sense of how boats work. There was something really grounding about the rhythm of sailing: just slowing down, sleeping well, eating delicious food, and connecting with nature. Speaking of food, it was genuinely incredible. The meals were vegan, which suits me perfectly, and it was such a relief not to have to think about food. Everything was taken care of, from wholesome meals to snacks, with plenty of opportunities to pick up extras during stopovers in towns. The landscapes, the sea, the beaches, the towns—it was all stunning, and we swam in some truly magical spots. What made the trip even more special was the sense of community. The crew—Yenzi, Yannick, Anna, and Xenia—were kind, welcoming, and made everyone feel instantly at home. I was lucky to be on a boat with lovely, open people. By the end, it really felt like we’d all become friends. I now fully understand what people mean when they say you arrive as strangers and leave as pirates. 🫶🏾 There were so many standout moments: the bonfire night, cinema nights on the boat, the pizza night, exploring new places every day. Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favourite. Having a content creator on board to capture the experience also meant we could stay more present and simply enjoy it all. It’s a small crew and a small group of travellers, which made the experience feel intimate, authentic, and easy to sink into. It may not be for everyone; but if it speaks to you, if you’re open to adventure, connection, and going with the wind, then I couldn’t recommend it more. I’m already dreaming about joining another trip, maybe in a different part of the Mediterranean next year. Truly one of the highlights of my year.

The passion and know how of the skipper made this trip super interesting. We had the chance to learn the basics of sailing and actually supporting the crew with hands on. The heat below deck is sometimes unbearable, especially when cooking, and sleep is out of the question on warm nights. If mosquitoes have found their way on board or the crew, who were previously too tired to wash up, turn up the volume again and make a fuss right above your bunk... you will feel a few years older by the next morning at the latest. But still: you can cope with little sleep and privacy for a week, it's worth it.
