Pirates of Paradise runs 7-day Mediterranean sailing trips for small groups of open-minded people on two owned boats. Made with love and built around community, vegan and a queer-friendly community where everyone belongs.

Our boats are always on the move across Europe and you join us for one chapter of a longer adventure. No sailing experience needed, we take care of everything so you can relax, be yourself and connect with others.

We are the alternative to party flotillas and charter-yacht mill operators, built for travellers whose values come with them on holiday.

We did a transfer from Sardinia to Mallorca, and it was my first time solo travelling on a sailing ship with complete strangers, but pirates of paradise made me feel right at home, facilitating an environment of trust, safety and familiarity we all got to enjoy. We were a group of just 10 people with different levels of experience in sailing (from none to fully skipper trained) and during the week of sail and learn we also had time to take it easy and make the most out of the days and the weather. This was an unforgettable experience, very personal deeply connecting and fully engaging that I will 100% recommend to anybody that dears to create meaningful connections with themselves, the crew and Nature. The nature is truly spectacular, grand volcanoes and crystal clear waters to start everyday with a swim, an absolute dream! The crew is very welcoming and they managed to turn Sailormoon into the safest place to form new connections. All the activities were such a nice addition to the sailing experience, it created a very good balance. I appreciate the efforts and the energy the crew puts into keeping Sailormoon in such a good condition, the food (everything is so fresh and it tastes amazing) and to be there for each and every trip.👏🏻 Didn’t know what to expect when I booked this sailing experience but it’s the best thing I did in a long time. Such an incredible atmosphere and vehicle to really bond with new people and learn about lots yourself. Yenzi is an awesome skipper,  curator, and fella. Do I need sailing experience for a Pirates of Paradise trip?

None at all. Our sailing trips are open to complete beginners. Our skippers handle everything on board. You are welcome to help set the sails, take the helm or just sit back with a coffee and watch the coast go by.

What is included in the price and how much does a trip cost?

Our trips start from 890 € per person for 7 days. Prices vary depending on the destination, route and time of year.

Everything on board is included: all plant-based meals, planned activities, bedding, towels, ocean-friendly hygiene and personal care products, period supplies and all boat costs. No hidden fees, no surprises at checkout.

Why is the food on board fully plant-based?

On our sailing trips, we cook fully vegan. The whole week, no exceptions.

Our kitchen and fridge on board are small, and animal products spoil quickly in summer heat. One shared menu for everyone means less waste, less risk and more time enjoying the trip.

And we do not just cook vegan. We cook fresh, creative and full of variety. Real food, made with love. Most of our guests are not vegan and leave pleasantly surprised.

Is this trip right for me as a solo traveller?

Absolutely. Most of our guests travel solo. You will share the boat with a small group of open-minded people and leave with friends you actually want to stay in touch with.
No need to know anyone beforehand. That is kind of the whole point. And if you’re a woman traveling solo, we guarantee you’ll be paired with a female cabin mate.

Is this really a safe space for queer and LGBTQIA+ travellers?

It is not a label we put on for marketing. We intentionally call this a safer space, not a safe space, because we believe in honesty: no one can guarantee a completely discrimination-free environment. What we can guarantee is that we take it seriously. Our crew and guests self-select into this community. Zero tolerance for discrimination is the baseline, not the exception. If something feels off, we will address it directly and without hesitation.

What makes Pirates of Paradise different from other Sailing Trips?

Most sailing trips mean large groups, chartered boats and a one-size-fits-all experience. We do things differently.

Our two boats are our own and always on the move across Europe. You are not booking a package holiday, you are joining one chapter of a longer journey. Groups stay intentionally small and open-minded so everyone actually gets to know each other.

Every meal on board is fully plant-based, handled by us from shopping to cooking. No hidden costs, no surprises. And from day one, our vegan sailing trips are built as a genuine safe space, queer-friendly and inclusive not as a label but as a lived reality on board.
